
How It All Began
Kaffivik started in December 2018, when three friends came together with one simple idea: coffee at home should taste just as fresh and amazing as it does abroad.
One of us was always bringing home beans from travels, just to enjoy a decent cup. Another had been roasting coffee at home for a while. The third had fallen in love with the taste of freshly roasted coffee while abroad. We realized: why not make that quality accessible here in Greenland?
So we did.
Today, we import green coffee beans from different corners of the world and roast them locally—right here in our little corner of Greenland. Whether you're brewing at home or serving coffee at the office, our goal is the same: to bring you fresh, flavorful coffee that’s roasted with care.
And just as important as the coffee is the connection. Everyone on our team speaks Greenlandic, because we believe great coffee should come with great service—for both locals and visitors.

OLD PACKAGES


From Roastery to Café
Kaffivik began as a small roastery in 2018, located in the same building we’re in today—just at the opposite end. Back then, we sold mainly to businesses and would announce occasional public openings whenever we had time.
When the opportunity arose to open a full-time café, we took the leap and made the move. Since 2021, Kaffivik has been proudly serving guests as a café, while continuing to roast fresh coffee on site.
